Excited Children in Science Class

PA K-6 offers a trilingual curriculum in English, Chinese, and Spanish for our elementary students. This unique program immerses students in diverse linguistic and cultural experiences, fostering global awareness and communication skills. By integrating the communicative approach with language instruction, we emphasize using the language in real-life contexts to enhance fluency and comprehension. Our trilingual approach prepares students for a multicultural world, enhancing their future academic and professional opportunities.

Project-Based Learning

Project based learning is a comprehensive and dynamic approach to instruction in which students explore real-world challenges or tackle essential questions. Each class has at least one project per semester in which students collaborate, explore, and think critically to create a product for a real audience. A primary goal of the program is to inspire students to obtain a deeper knowledge of the subjects they are studying.

Experiential Education

Field trips, clubs, extracurricular activities, and regular outings are vital to the energy and rhythm of Pacific Academy. We believe that important, meaningful learning takes place when students are engaged in learning by doing, whether inside or outside of the classroom. Through experiential education, students make connections and gain a deeper understanding of the world around them.

Service Learning

To help fulfill the school's mission of creating compassionate and responsible global citizens, Pacific Academy fosters a service learning curriculum. Ranging from service completed within our school community to service completed in partnership with local community partners, students are pushed to experience how service can impact every facet of life and to better understand the social issues behind the necessity for service.

Leadership Training

Leadership training is an important part of our curriculum because we believe these skills and habits for success should be taught at an early age. The five main topics are: Participation, Responsibility, Ingenuity, Determination, and Empathy (PA PRIDE.)  Throughout the year, students learn and practice these values through discussions, projects, group activities, presentations, and award recognitions.
